Summer Camp – Day 2

Another day has already passed here at the TCA Pitsford Summer Camp and we have had another action packed day! We started the day with a jog at 8:00am followed by the PSCO (Pitsford Sumer Camp Olympics) Equestrian event, which involved a Cross Country (Team Relay) event and the Dressage (where one person is blindfolded and has to be guided by someone else vocally)

Once on the water, with our coaches from yesterday, Ed Strange and Stuart Hards we worked on Pre-Start Routines. This included getting key information from the course which can help us get a good race, as well as help us perform in the race.

In the afternoon we worked on mark rounding as this is a key part in the race course as you could lose several places, or gain some if another person has a bad rounding.

Once off the water we debriefed and had the PSCO Tournament of Catch Volleyball (where you have to pass the ball 3 times before you can catch throw it), many thanks for Sam Ross for coming up with the ideas forĀ PSCO games
